Screw Out: Bolts and Nuts is a logic‐puzzle game in which your task is to unscrew bolts from different shapes and sort the screws by color into the correct containers. Each level presents a fresh arrangement of bolts, shapes and colours, requiring you to plan ahead — one false move and you may get stuck. You’ll need both patience and strategy: match screws to the right containers, avoid filling up the “extra/unmatched” space, and clear the shapes to advance.
At the top of the screen you see a number of empty screw‐holders (containers), each assigned a specific colour.
Below you see various shapes secured by coloured screws. These bolts hold the shapes in place.
There is also a limited space for “extra” screws — screws whose colours don’t match any container at the moment. If this extra space fills up, you lose the level.
Your goal is to unscrew all the bolts in the level by clicking (or tapping) them, but you must do so in such a way that the removed screws can be placed into matching colour containers. Once a shape has all its screws removed, it falls away and you progress toward clearing the level.
You win the level when all shapes are cleared (i.e., all their screws removed and sorted).
Only unscrew screws whose colour matches one of the containers at the top. If you unscrew a screw of a different colour and there is no matching container slot available, it goes into your “extra” space. If that extra space becomes full and you attempt another non‐match, you’ll lose.
When you fill a container completely (i.e., it gets the correct number of screws of that colour), that container resets (or refreshes) and shows a new colour. This gives you additional room and opportunities.
Think carefully before you click: since the extra space is limited, unscrewing a bolt without a plan could block your progress.
Use the left mouse button (on desktop) or tap (on mobile/tablet) to unscrew the bolt.
After unscrewing, you must place the removed screw into the correct top container (provided it matches).
Continue until all shapes are cleared.
Always check: is there a container available for this screw’s colour before you unscrew it?
Try to clear containers quickly so they refresh and give you new colours to work with.
If you see a shape whose screws are mostly the same colour as a current container, focus on that first.
Be cautious about leaving only unmatched screws left; they might fill your extra space fast.
Consider the order: sometimes unscrewing one bolt will drop a shape and change the layout of remaining screws.
Use power‐ups (if available) wisely — they may give you extra room or skip tricky parts.
